Ask Enterpret in Slack

Updated by Vaishnavi

Ask Enterpret questions about your customer feedback from Slack. Use this guide to connect the workspace, sign in, and ask questions in an appropriate conversation.

This workspace connection is separate from importing Slack conversations as feedback and from the personal Slack connector used inside Enterpret Agent. For Feed and Dashboard delivery, see Reports in Enterpret.

Connect your Slack workspace

  1. In Enterpret, open Settings → Enterpret on Slack. If this option is unavailable, ask your Enterpret administrator or Enterpret team to check availability and your permissions.

  2. Choose Connect Workspace, or Add Workspace if another workspace is already connected. Connecting or managing a workspace requires the appropriate workspace-settings permission.

  3. Complete the Slack authorization for the intended workspace. If your Slack workspace requires app approval, follow its approval process.

  4. Check the connection status in Enterpret. If the card says Needs authorization, use Authorize and follow the instructions.

Sign in and ask a question

Once the workspace is connected, mention @Enterpret in a supported channel where the app has been added, or open a direct message with Enterpret. Follow the sign-in prompt to associate your Slack account with your Enterpret account when required.

Start with a focused question and name the period or segment you care about. For example:

  • “Summarize onboarding complaints from the last 30 days.”

  • “What are customers saying about pricing this week?”

  • “Which accounts appear in this feedback?”

Keep follow-up questions in the same thread to preserve the conversation context. Available capabilities depend on your organization's configuration and access; the Slack experience may differ from the Agent interface in Enterpret.

Choose where to ask

  • Public or private channel: add the app to the intended channel and mention @Enterpret.

  • Thread: ask follow-up questions in the existing conversation.

  • Direct message: open a conversation with Enterpret for questions you do not want to post to a channel.

Enterpret blocks responses in externally shared Slack Connect channels, including channels with a pending external share. Use an unshared channel or a direct message instead.

Choose a conversation whose participants should see your question and the response. A private channel still shares messages with its members.

Check the answer

Responses can include source references and links to supporting feedback. Open those sources to check important findings. Enterpret uses language models, so an answer can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unable to answer the request; citations do not guarantee that every statement is correct.

If the response does not cover the intended data, clarify the question, time range, or segment. For a connection or response problem, contact Enterpret Support with the Slack message link and the relevant workspace.

Disconnect a workspace

In Settings → Enterpret on Slack, open the connected workspace card's menu and choose Disconnect. Review the confirmation: this disconnects that workspace connection for everyone using it. Managing this connection requires the appropriate permission.

For data-handling commitments, see Enterpret's Privacy Policy.
