Apple App Store

Updated by Vaishnavi

Overview

The Enterpret integration for the Apple App Store allows our customers to integrate feedback and reviews from the Apple App Store into Enterpret’s data pipeline. This allows our customers to understand and make decisions based on the feedback they receive on the Apple App Store.

We use the AppID to fetch reviews. The current default polling interval is 2 hours. Your integration may use a different configured schedule, including an older interval. Contact your Enterpret team to confirm the schedule for your connection.

Polling schedules periodic checks for eligible source data. Data becomes available for analysis after fetching and processing; the polling interval does not guarantee when a particular record or the first import will appear.

Initial import time and available review history depend on the access method, configured countries, source availability, review volume, and processing workload. There is no fixed completion estimate per number of reviews.

Optional: Add App Store Connect API Keys for Native Integration

By default, the Apple App Store integration leverages the public APIs to fetch the reviews, which only have access to the public data.

Optionally, you can add API Keys for your Apple App Store integration, which allows Enterpret to integrate with App Store Connect APIs, and fetch richer metadata for the reviews.

To do this, click on the edit icon next to your Apple App Store Integration, which will open a form like this.

Edit Appstore Integration panel with Private API Key, Private API Key ID, and Issuer ID fields.

The form requires 3 inputs.

Private API Key ID

To get your key ID,

  • Copy it from App Store Connect by logging in to App Store Connect.

  • Select Users and Access, then select the API Keys tab.

  • The key IDs appear in a column under the Active heading. Click the cursor next to a key ID to display the Copy Key ID link.

  • Click Copy Key ID.

Private API Key

To generate an API key to use with the App Store Connect API, log in to App Store Connect.

  1. Select Users and Access, and then select the API Keys tab.

  2. Click the Generate API Key or the Add (+) button.

  3. Enter a name for the key. The name is for your reference only and is not part of the key itself.

  4. Under Access, select the role of Admin for the key.

  5. Click Generate.

The new key's name, key ID, download link, and other information appear on the page. Once you've generated your API key, you are given the opportunity to download the private half of the key. The private key is available for download a single time.

  1. Log in to App Store Connect.

  2. Select Users and Access, and then select the API Keys tab.

  3. Click the "Download API Key" link next to the new API key.

The download link appears only if the private key has not yet been downloaded. As Apple does not keep a copy of the private key, please store your private key in a safe place, and then copy and paste it to the corresponding section in the form.

Issuer ID

The issuer ID will be available alongside the key ID.

Note: To generate keys, you must have an Admin account in App Store Connect.

After filling in all the details, you may click the Save Changes button.

Analyze this feedback with Enterpret Agent

Once this integration's feedback is available in Enterpret, use Enterpret Agent to investigate themes, summarize customer requests, and prepare reports. Specify this source and the reporting period in your request. For daily reports, weekly digests, and recurring reporting, configure scheduled Agent automations with Slack or email delivery.

This guide covers feedback ingestion. Agent connectors are a separate setup for reading external context or taking supported actions in other tools; connecting a feedback source does not automatically authorize those actions.
