Build your first Quantify analysis

Create a Quantify analysis to answer a focused question about your feedback. This walkthrough uses a feedback analysis; for the meaning and availability of individual controls, see the Quantify query reference.

1. Open Quantify and choose a starting point

Open Quantify from the navigation. Depending on your navigation, it may be under More.

If templates are shown, choose one relevant to your question, such as complaints, requests, or sentiment. Review the settings it fills in. To build your own analysis, choose a field in Plot.

2. Choose what to group by

In Plot, choose an available taxonomy, sentiment, source, or metadata field. This determines the groups in your result. For example, select an available taxonomy field to compare the feedback associated with its values.

The collapsed query summary may label this selection Show me. Open the summary to edit the query.

3. Filter the feedback and choose a duration

Under Filter, choose + Add Filter. Select the field, operator, and value, review any AND/OR groups, then choose Apply filters. Click an existing filter summary to edit it.

For a feedback analysis, choose the period in Duration. Use a preset or select Last, Since, or Between for a custom range.

4. Choose what to measure

In Measured as, choose the calculation and then the object or numeric field it applies to. For a first feedback analysis, choose Count and the feedback-record option shown in your workspace.

Plot determines the grouping; Measured as determines what is counted or calculated. If you choose Percentage, inspect its denominator description and filters as well.

5. Review the refreshed results

Wait for the results to refresh after changing the controls. Choose an available chart type and select the values you want to display. Open a linked result value or a chart's record-view action, when offered, to inspect the supporting data.

6. Save, copy a link, or add to a dashboard

• Save: choose Save, give the analysis a name, and complete the dialog. For an existing analysis, use Update when permitted or Save As New for a separate saved analysis.

• Copy Link: for an unsaved analysis, name it and choose Save and Copy Link; saving also copies the link. For an already saved analysis, Copy Link copies the existing link. Save any changes you want teammates to see before copying that saved link.

• Add to a Dashboard: select a dashboard you can edit, or choose Add to a new Dashboard. Save and name an unsaved analysis when prompted.

These actions depend on your permissions, the saved analysis, and whether the query has valid selected results. Share the link with teammates who have the appropriate Enterpret access.
